I don't know about you, but I feel like there were fewer April Fools pranks on the internet compared to previous years. Not too surprised given the current situation we're all in I guess.
But my favourite April Fools fake launches from the food / sports nutrition world have to be:
Halo Top - Meat Pie flavour ice cream
For some reason, despite knowing that meat and ice cream should not work together, part of me still wants to try this.
I personally think Halo Top should expand into a sister company that makes low calorie ice cream for dogs, Meat Pie being their first flavour.
Quest - Alcoholic protein beverages
I had to check a few different sources to make sure this was genuinely an April Fools prank launch, because I was genuinely interested. A fruity, fizzy, protein infused alcoholic beverage...? Yes please!
Hopefully this will be one of those times where a company does a joke launch, only to find out there was a legitimate market for the product.
